Taxidermist

Cameron Johnson.

Taxidermy has always fascinated me.  Growing up I was always hunting and experimenting with the art of Taxidermy. From the feral pigeons and doves around my home, to rabbits and hares, I was always trying to create  a realistic looking mount.

Early on, that wasn't always the end result. As time went by, the specimens started to look better and better, up to the time of my first International hunting trip to Texas, U.S.A

Whilst in Texas, I visited several prominent Taxidermy studios near my friends home outside San Antonio. By 1997, I was well under way learning from the Pros doing six weeks full hands on training, and returning in 2000 for a further month of intensive training.

The relationships forged way back then with some of the U.S.A's leading Taxidermist's continue to prosper, with several becoming lifelong friends along the way.

Together with my ever increasing knowledge and skills, and the superior manikins and supplies offered by the leading companies, your trophy is safe in my hands.

Recently I began guiding hunters to some great trophies on Watervalley Station in South Australia. As well as Watervalley, hunts are available in  Texas, U.S.A, and both the East Cape and Limpopo regions of South Africa.

Fully catered trips with Taxidermy included are offered, as are fully Chaperoned trips, see details in the "Hunts Offered" page.
